7 Ways for Office Workers to Lose Weight

When you work in an office, that sedentary lifestyle can lead to your metabolism slowing down which can normal cause weight gain. Not to mention all the goodies that are commonly in an office.

While it is not easy, there are things you can do to not only keep the weight off, but to actually help you to lose weight, even if your job isn’t active.

1. Drink More Water

Drinking water is an excellent way to lose weight. You need to try to get 8 glasses a day and having a water bottle on your desk is an easy way to.

Water will increase your energy and relive fatigue. It also will give you a “full” feeling to keep you from snacking throughout the day, reduces hunger and increases your metabolism.drink more water

2. Packing your Lunch

While eating out at a restaurant or your company’s cafeteria may be easier and taste better, but packing your lunch allows you to keep from over-eating and stops you from getting all those excess calories associated with eating out.

Losing weight is not always easy, but if you plan ahead with your lunches, you can definitely keep your calories in check.

3. Walk Whenever you Can

While your office job may require you to sit most of the day, there’s still plenty of opportunities to walk and burn off some calories and increase that metabolism.

Here are a few ways to do this. Instead of the elevator, take the stairs everyday. When you take your bathroom breaks, take the long route or one extra lap around the office. Even during your lunch break or other break, walk around instead of sitting. 5. Eat Smaller meals more frequently, along with Protein shakes

7. Pack Healthy Snacks

So a great option is to pack some healthy snacks for yourself before work and then you can pull them out throughout the day when you are hungry.  You can easily buy food in bulk and create baggies of snacks to bring in.
